About Doctor Latter

Doctor Latter completed his undergraduate studies in San Luis Obispo, California at Cal Poly. During his college years he was selected to an international exchange student and had the pleasure of attending Massey University in New Zealand for a year. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1991. Dr. Latter did his first year of residency training at Saint Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco. his second year of surgical residency was at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento.Dr. Latter opened Foothill Podiatry Clinic in Grass Valley, California. He worked there for 20 years. He was chief of the podiatry department at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for 18 years. He is one of the founding fathers for the Grass Valley Surgery Center. He is a diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is past president of the Sacramento Valley Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Latter likes hunting and fishing. He enjoys both playing and coaching basketball (his 6’7″ frame comes in handy on the court). He and his family also enjoy most outdoor activities including hiking, tent camping, golf and disc golf. His wife and he are often seen running and he has competed in 5 and 10 km races and has completed half and full marathons.
